Who knew that each time you were peeling off of a roll of scotch tape you were exposing your fingers to low levels of X-Rays?
Soviet scientists discovered this fact back in the 1950s but preferred to allow Americans to kill themselves from excessive exposure to X-Rays instead of making the discovery public. They also did not find a practical use for it since the emissions were much too low for the sensing devices used in those days. The discovery was recently declassified which resulted in ULCA researchers verifying it and determining that current technologies could actually utilize this phenomenon with unpowered X-Ray devices. I can just imagine it now, a paramedic telling you hold still while he peels scotch tape next to your arm. LOL
